What to put in the form

• The items, with rough sizes: a three-seat sofa, a 20-cubic-foot chest freezer, eight boxes of books.
• Where they are: which floor, how many stairs, any tight turns or low ceilings.
• The way to the truck: driveway, alley or street parking, and how far.
• Anything with its own rules: Freon appliances, electronics, tires, paint or chemicals.
• Your area, since Fort Collins and each nearby town handle trash differently.
• Timing: the day you need the space clear, and any move-out or closing date behind it.

What happens after you send it

The request reaches an independent local contractor, who calls you back to ask what the description left out and to confirm whether they can take the job, what it includes, where the load will be dumped or recycled, and the price. Sending the form is not a booking. Nothing is scheduled until you and the contractor agree on the details.
